The urn looks very durable, and I was looking for one that would last a long time. I wanted to avoid aluminum, so paid twice as much for a stainless steel coffee urn as an aluminum one, BUT this pot came with an aluminum coffee basket and stem! I would think that all the parts would have been stainless steel. I am going to see if the basket and stem of the pot that this one replaces will fit. That one is stainless steel. so I know it can be made.
